While these tools may support aspects of scholarly communication, their use must be transparent, ethical, and fully accountable to human authors.

Disclosure Requirement: Authors must disclose any use of Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies during the manuscript preparation process. A statement must be provided in a dedicated section titled:

"Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process" was placed before the references section upon initial submission. This statement will be published alongside the article if accepted.

Acceptable Use: Generative AI tools may only enhance language clarity, grammar, and readability. They must not be used for generating original political analysis, policy recommendations, critical interpretations, or arguments, which must remain the responsibility of the author(s).

Author Accountability: Authors must critically review, verify, and edit all AI-generated content. The final responsibility for the article's accuracy, originality, and scholarly value lies entirely with the author(s).

Authorship Criteria: AI tools or AI-assisted technologies must not be credited as authors or co-authors, as authorship involves intellectual responsibility and ethical accountability that humans can only hold.

Sample Declaration Format

Section Title: Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process

Example Statement: During the preparation of this article, the author(s) used [name of tool/service] to assist with [e.g., grammar improvement, sentence restructuring]. After utilizing this tool/service, the author(s) carefully reviewed and edited the content and take full responsibility for the final version of the manuscript.

This declaration is not required to use basic tools such as spell checkers, grammar checkers, or reference managers (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley). If no Generative AI tools were used, you don't need to make a statement.

Editorial and Peer Review Use: To protect the confidentiality and integrity of the peer review process, editors or reviewers using Generative AI tools in evaluating manuscripts is strictly prohibited. Humans must perform all assessments.

Policy Review: This policy will be periodically updated as AI technologies and global publishing standards evolve.
