The Editorial Board of Jurnal Review Politik (JRP) invites scholars, researchers, and academic practitioners to submit their original research articles and rigorous theoretical reviews for our upcoming issue: Vol. 16, No. 1 & 2, 2026.

JRP is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing theoretical and empirical scholarship at the intersection of religion, politics, and governance. With a primary geographical focus on Southeast Asia and the broader Asian region, JRP seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and connect local or regional political phenomena with global political science frameworks.

We welcome submissions from diverse methodological approaches within Political Science, Area Studies, and related interdisciplinary fields (e.g., sociology, international relations, public policy). The substantive scope encompasses, but is not limited to:

• Religion, State, and Society: Islamic political thought, religious movements, identity politics, and state-religion relations.

• Comparative Politics in Asia: Democratization, electoral dynamics, political movements, and civil society activism.

• Governance and Public Policy: Institutional reforms, local governance, political economy, and socio-economic dimensions of policy-making.

• International Relations and Regionalism: Transnational political networks, ASEAN dynamics, diplomacy, and regional security issues.

JRP strives for international academic excellence. We strictly prioritize manuscripts that:

• Offer a clear and novel theoretical contribution.

• Engage actively with contemporary, international scholarly literature.

• Employ rigorous, transparent, and replicable methodologies.

• Move beyond purely descriptive localized case studies by providing comparative and analytical insights relevant to a global audience.

Submission Guidelines

• Manuscripts must be written in standard academic English.

• Word count: Between 6,000 to 8,000 words, including references and footnotes.

• Formatting and referencing should adhere to the APA 7th Edition style.

• All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
