We invite scholars from around the world to submit original research articles to Mutawatir: Jurnal Keilmuan Tafsir Hadith, a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Department of Qur’an and Hadith, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing the study of the Qur’an and Hadith as dynamic interpretive traditions by bridging classical Islamic exegesis with contemporary interdisciplinary approaches.

Mutawatir welcomes scholarly contributions that employ hermeneutical, critical, and comparative perspectives to explore the relevance of the Qur’an and Hadith in addressing contemporary intellectual, cultural, and societal issues. The journal encourages research situated within global and transnational contexts, while also highlighting the richness of Southeast Asian and Indonesian interpretive traditions. Topics may include linguistic and literary analysis, tafsir and Hadith commentary, ethical and legal dimensions, digital and media contexts, reception studies, and interdisciplinary approaches across fields such as philology, history, anthropology, and religious studies.

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and written in English. The journal prioritizes qualitative methodologies and applies a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Mutawatir invites contributions from researchers, academics, graduate students, and policy-oriented scholars engaged in Qur’anic, Hadith, and Islamic studies.

As an open-access journal, Mutawatir offers global visibility and supports innovative, interdisciplinary scholarship that contributes to ongoing international conversations. We welcome your work as part of a collective effort to understand the Qur’an and Hadith as living traditions in the modern world.
