The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Author Guidelines
Religio: Journal of Religious Studies is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing original and critical scholarship on religion through textual, historical, and empirical research, with particular emphasis on Indonesia and Southeast Asia, while remaining open to global and comparative perspectives.
Its scope encompasses religion as a cultural, social, and lived phenomenon, including but not limited to: the interaction of religion and local culture in everyday life; indigenous and vernacular traditions; interreligious relations, dialogue, and conflict management; religion and its role in politics, identity, and social transformation; as well as religion in relation to media, gender, economy, law, and human rights.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary contributions from anthropology, sociology, history, political science, psychology, law, philosophy, and cultural studies. By bridging textual analysis and lived experience, Religio seeks to foster critical dialogue across disciplines and cultural contexts.
The readership of the journal includes scholars, researchers, and graduate students in religious studies and related fields. The editorial board consists of distinguished international scholars from diverse academic and geographical backgrounds, ensuring rigorous peer review, global engagement, and the highest scholarly standards.
